Houston, TX — June 3, 2024 — Owners in Honor, a leading advocate for veteran entrepreneurship and transition programs, is excited to announce the appointment of two pivotal new team members: Michael Durham as a board member, and Heather Bohannon as the new Chief Development Officer.

Michael Durham joins the board with a distinguished background in law and business. Currently serving as Special Counsel at Fishman Haygood Law Firm in Baton Rouge, LA, Michael’s career includes roles such as General Counsel at Bernhard and significant contributions to energy infrastructure development with Johnson Controls. His efforts there earned him the JCI Master’s Award for closing the largest deal in company history. A veteran of the U.S. Army and Louisiana Army National Guard, Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University, an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver, and an MBA from Duke University.

“As a son, grandson, and brother of veterans, the military spirit is ingrained in my family,” said Michael Durham. “I am committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of our veterans, especially in empowering them to lead businesses post-service. Heather Bohannon brings over two decades of experience in fundraising development and leadership. Her career has been marked by her ability to raise millions for causes supporting veterans, military families, the Navy SEAL community, and more. Heather’s dedication has been recognized by prominent military figures, and her strategic vision is set to significantly advance the organization’s mission.
