Veteran Business Operator Support: Scale Your Business, Maximize Value, Exit on Your Terms
Join the Operator Program
You Bought the Business.
But Is the Business Running You?
You closed on your business and took command. But somewhere between payroll, operations, sales, customer service, and everything else — the mission started running you instead of the other way around.
Most small business owner & operators hit this wall. They’re working in their business constantly, with no time to work on it strategically. There’s no peer structure, no advisor holding them accountable, and no clear path from where they are to where they want to be. For veteran operators, this isolation hits differently.
You built your career inside a system of hierarchy, after-action reviews, and mission clarity. Running a small business alone — without that structure — isn’t just hard. It’s a culture shock. You don’t have to figure this out in isolation. Owners In Honor™ exists to be the fire support you don’t have yet.
Owners In Honor™ provides veteran business operators with the strategic advisory, operational frameworks, and peer community to grow with intention and exit on their terms.
Whether you acquired your business through our program or built it independently, if you’re a veteran operator who’s ready to stop firefighting and start scaling — this is where you belong.
The Reality of Running a Small Business Solo
Running a small business is one of the hardest things a person can do — and most owner & operators do it without a strategic support structure of any kind. Here’s what the data shows about where most operators find themselves.
60%
70%
2–4x EBITDA
You don’t have to navigate this alone. Owners In Honor™ has built fire support for operators — veteran-specific, operationally grounded, and mission-focused at every level.
What You Get as an Operator Member
Operator Membership is a comprehensive support ecosystem — not a one-time consulting engagement.
Here’s what’s included.
Strategic Advisory
Monthly one-on-one strategy sessions with an experienced advisor, plus quarterly business reviews that assess performance, reset priorities, and recalibrate your 90-day plan. Your advisor brings operator experience — not just consulting theory.
Operational Excellence
Process documentation, SOP development, team structure optimization, and operational workflow design. We help you build a business that runs with consistency — whether you’re in the building or not.
Financial Management
CFO-level guidance on cash flow, margin, pricing, capital allocation, and financial reporting. We help you understand your numbers deeply and make decisions from a position of financial clarity.
Growth Planning
Market expansion analysis, sales system development, partnership strategy, and bolt-on M&A evaluation. We help you grow deliberately — with a plan that your operation can actually support.
Exit Preparation
Valuation optimization, data room preparation, buyer narrative development, and exit options analysis. Whether your exit is 2 years away or 10, we help you build toward a premium outcome from Day 1.
Peer Community
Monthly operator roundtables, a private peer forum, and direct access to a community of veteran business owners & operators who’ve faced the same challenges you’re navigating. This is the accountability structure most solo operators never have.

Designed for Mission-Driven Veteran Operators
Owners In Honor™ Operator Membership is built for a specific kind of business owner & operator. If this list describes you, you’re exactly who we built this for.
- You own a business doing $500K–$10M in annual revenue
- You are the primary decision-maker — the buck stops with you
- You want to grow strategically, not just reactively
- You're thinking about your exit — even if it's still years away
- You want peer accountability and expert advisory, not generic advice
- You're ready to implement — not just learn
Whether you acquired your business through the Owners In Honor™ Buyer Program or built or bought it independently, veteran operators are welcome. What matters is that you’re a veteran, you own a business, and you’re serious about building something worth owning.
The Only Full-Cycle Veteran Business Ecosystem
There’s no shortage of business coaches, consultants, and advisory services. Here’s why Owners In Honor™ is different — and why that difference matters for veteran operators specifically.
Not Consultants
Who've Never Operated
Our advisors aren’t theorists. They’ve run businesses, made payroll, managed teams, and navigated the same challenges you’re facing. The guidance you receive comes from people who’ve done it — not just studied it.
Veteran-Specific
Understanding
We understand the transition. We understand what it means to build an identity around service, and to suddenly be navigating a world without rank structure, clear orders, or a built-in mission. Our community and our framework are built around that reality — not a generic small business owner persona.
Pipeline of
Veteran Buyers
No other operator support organization can offer what Owners In Honor™ can: direct access to a pipeline of qualified, mission-aligned veteran buyers actively searching for businesses to acquire. When the time comes, your exit has a built-in market.
Nonprofit
Structure
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are not incentivized to sell you services you don’t need, extend your engagement unnecessarily, or prioritize our revenue over your outcomes. Our mission is veteran business success — full stop.
Battle-Tested
Frameworks
Every framework we use — from AARs to KPI scorecards to cash flow models — has been applied in real businesses by real veteran operators. We refine our tools based on what actually works in the field, not what looks good in a presentation.

Operator Program FAQs
No. The Operator Program is open to any veteran who owns a business — regardless of how they acquired it. What matters is that you're a veteran, you own an operating business, and you're serious about growing or exiting strategically.
Our program is designed for veteran-owned businesses generating between $500K and $10M in annual revenue. If your business is outside that range, reach out anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit and point you in the right direction if not.
Membership includes monthly one-on-one advisory sessions, quarterly business reviews, access to our peer operator community and roundtables, the vetted service partner network, and access to proprietary tools and templates. Specific inclusions may vary by program tier.
Most business coaches work from frameworks developed outside any specific industry or community. Owners In Honor™ advisors are practitioners who've operated businesses and understand the veteran-specific context of your leadership style, your transition, and your goals. We're also a nonprofit — our only incentive is your success.
At minimum, once per month in a dedicated one-on-one session. Quarterly reviews are also included, and advisors are available between sessions for critical decisions or emerging challenges.
The Operate phase of our framework is specifically built for this scenario. Stability before scale is the right sequence, and we've helped operators move from financial uncertainty to operational control before building toward growth. Reach out — struggling businesses benefit from this program just as much as thriving ones.
Yes. One of the unique advantages of the Owners In Honor™ ecosystem is our active pipeline of veteran buyers who are actively searching for acquisition targets. When you're ready to exit, we can facilitate introductions to qualified, mission-aligned buyers within our community.
We work across a broad range of small business categories — service businesses, home services, healthcare support, light manufacturing, logistics, and more. Our frameworks are transferable across industries, and our advisor network includes practitioners from many different sectors.
We work with operators on a program basis. Engagement length varies based on which phase of the framework you're in. Contact us to discuss what the right structure looks like for your situation.
Monthly operator roundtables are peer group sessions — typically 6–10 veteran operators — focused on a specific topic or shared challenge. Sessions are facilitated by an Owners In Honor™ advisor and structured to generate real insight, not just discussion. Think of it as a mastermind built for operators who've served.
Yes. HR strategy, org structure, and team development are common focus areas within the Operate and Compound phases. We also connect operators with vetted HR partners through our service network.
The best first step is a strategy call. It's a no-pressure conversation with an Owners In Honor™ advisor to understand where you are, where you want to go, and whether our program is the right fit. Use the form below or book directly through our scheduler.
A Value Creation Plan (VCP) is a structured roadmap developed post-acquisition that defines how an operator will drive performance, grow enterprise value, and prepare the business for an eventual exit. It covers cash flow targets, operational improvements, team development, growth initiatives, and value gap analysis. Every Owners In Honor™ operator works with an advisor to build and execute a VCP from Day 1 of ownership.
