The Owners In Honor™
Ambassador Program

America is at a crossroads. Millions of small businesses built by grit and decades of sacrifice need successors. Thousands of veterans stepping out of uniform need a mission. Most nonprofits address one side of that equation. Owners In Honor™ addresses both — and Ambassadors are how we do it at scale.

Where Mission Meets Community

The Owners In Honor™ Ambassador Program is the ground-level activation layer of our national mission. While our leadership team operates at the program and organizational level, Ambassadors operate where it matters most: in their communities, in their networks, and in the rooms where veteran buyers and business sellers need to be introduced.

Ambassadors are not volunteers in the traditional sense. They are mission-aligned leaders — veterans, military spouses, and community allies — who carry the OIH brand with authority, connect people across our ecosystem, and extend our reach into regions and relationships that no national office can replicate.

This is a highly selective program. Not everyone who applies will be chosen. Those who are represent Owners In Honor™ with the same standards of integrity, discipline, and mission-focus that define everything we do.

Ambassadors lead locally, impact nationally, and carry the mission of Owners In Honor™ forward with honor and trust.

The Ambassador Role:
Specific, Not Ceremonial

An Owners In Honor™ Ambassador title is not an honorific — it’s an active commitment.
Here’s what the role looks like in practice.

Host & Support Local Events

Ambassadors serve as on-the-ground hosts and co-hosts for OIH events in their region — including Fireside Sessions, Operator Support Shoots, ETA Day Zero activations, and Wealth Roundtables. They handle local logistics, introductions, and follow-up engagement.

Connect Veteran Buyers to Opportunity

Ambassadors actively introduce qualified veterans in their network to the OIH Buyer Program — making personal introductions, sharing program information, and supporting candidates through the inquiry process.

Identify Business Sellers for Succession

Ambassadors keep an ear to the ground in their business community for retiring owners considering succession — and make warm introductions to OIH’s seller engagement team when timing is right.

Build Regional Partner Relationships

Ambassadors are relationship brokers. They open doors to local lenders, brokers, attorneys, and community organizations that can support OIH fellows and operators in their region.

Represent OIH in Their Community

Ambassadors speak credibly about OIH’s mission at local events, professional networks, veteran organizations, and community gatherings — extending the organization’s reputation through trusted, personal advocacy.

Provide Regional Intelligence

Ambassadors share on-the-ground feedback with OIH leadership — what’s working in their region, what veteran business owners are asking, where gaps exist, and what opportunities are emerging.

What You Receive as an Ambassador

The Ambassador role is mission-driven, not transactional. That said, we invest in our Ambassadors the same way we invest in our fellows — with the resources, access, and recognition to make their work effective.

Ambassador Qualities We Look For

This program is open to veterans, military spouses, Gold Star family members, and community allies who genuinely embody the mission. What we look for isn’t a resume — it’s character, credibility, and commitment.

Meet Our
Principal Ambassador

Being an Ambassador means I carry the mission into every room I walk into — and I leave it better than I found it. — Genine Fallon

At the heart of the Ambassador Program is Genine Fallon — a strategist who knows how to turn trust into momentum. With decades of experience in investor relations, branding, and capital strategy, Genine has built her career at the intersection of relationships and results.

As Owners In Honor™ Board Member and Principal Ambassador, she sets the standard for what it means to represent OIH: authenticity, grit, and action in equal measure.

Genine embodies the core truth of the Ambassador role — it isn’t about titles. It’s about trust. The ability to connect people, capital, and opportunity in ways that transform lives and communities. That’s what she does. That’s what every OIH Ambassador aspires to.

How the Selection Process Works

We choose Ambassadors with great care. This is not a program you join — it’s one you earn. Here’s what the process looks like.

Submit Your Interest Questionnaire

Complete the Ambassador Interest Questionnaire below. We ask about your background, your community connections, your relationship to the OIH mission, and what you’re prepared to commit. This is not a formality — we read every submission carefully.

Review & Initial Outreach

Our team reviews all submissions within 2–3 weeks. Candidates who advance will receive a direct outreach from an OIH team member to schedule a conversation. If you don’t hear from us within 30 days, your application is under continued consideration for future cohorts.

Conversation with OIH Leadership

Selected candidates participate in a direct conversation with OIH leadership — not an interview, but a genuine exchange. We want to understand your community, your networks, and your vision for what you’d do as an Ambassador. You’ll have the chance to ask us anything.

Ambassador Designation & Onboarding

Ambassadors who are selected receive formal designation, onboarding materials, and direct integration into the OIH regional network. You’ll be introduced to your regional peer group, equipped with resources, and activated for your first local engagement.

Built for the Fight. Built for the Mission.

We aren’t another nonprofit with lofty ideas and no follow-through. We’re veterans, spouses, operators, and entrepreneurs who have been in the trenches. We understand the stakes — what happens when a community loses its small businesses, when a family loses its livelihood, or when a veteran loses their sense of purpose.

Owners In Honor™ was built to solve that. And through the Ambassador Program, we’re scaling the mission city by city, state by state — through people like you.
